An accomplished and passionate professional, Katia earned a bachelor's degree in science at the Université de Montréal through an accumulation of certificates. Holding a master's degree from HEC Montréal in management, with a specialization in organizational development, and proud of her atypical career path, Katia has more than 20 years of experience and is actively involved as Chair of the Montérégie Regional Committee of the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines (CRHA) [Order of Certified Human Resources Professionals (CHRP)].

Katia began her career in 1996 in customer service at Tremblant (Intrawest). She then focused her energies for nearly a decade on the growth of Continuum International, where her contributions included assisting with the start-up of the company and with the roll-out of various expatriate management, intercultural training and outsourcing services. After resuming her post-graduate studies, she became the Human Resources Director for Legal Aid Montréal | Laval, where she headed a complete restructuring of the department. Finally, Katia took part in various initiatives involving culture change, sales department specialization, union relations and HR crisis leadership development in her role as HR Sales Manager at Molson Coors.

As a senior consultant at Sismik, Katia’s mission is to help make a difference by striving to create more humane work environments – one person at a time. Thanks to her entrepreneurial nature and ability to analyze complex situations, she is an ambitious professional who is determined to achieve the specific objectives of her clients. With her versatility and strong sense of responsibility, Katia is also imbued with a remarkable work ethic, performing her duties with thoroughness and rigour.

Her boundless energy, sense of humour and joie de vivre set her apart and are evidenced by an approach focused on creative solutions. In addition to her keen interest in fine food and drink, Katia also enjoys gardening and a daily swim – not to mention yoga, cycling and mountain walking.
